Schomaker, Thomas

Biography

Dr. Schomaker is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and is the Pediatric M3 Student Clerkship Coordinator. He joined CMU as Core Faculty in May 2024. Dr. Schomaker is also Managing Physician, Pediatric Practice, for CMU Medical Education Partners. He earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathy in 1995. Dr. Schomaker completed his Pediatric residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan in 1999. He has over 20 years of Private Practice experience and enjoys mentoring and teaching patients, students and residents. Dr. Schomaker has been a volunteer camp physician several times throughout his career at Camp Midicha, Spring Hill and Young Life Camps. He was also the Medical Director for a Brazil Medical Mission Trip in 2000. He has a focus on wellness, development and preventative care in infants, toddlers, adolescents and teenagers.
